PLEASE JOIN US at the “Travel Fair: a showcase of opportunities for 4th to 12th grade students” on Wed., Sept. 26, 3-7PM at DCIS Baker (574 W. 6th Ave., Denver, CO 80204).
The Travel Fair is free and open to the public, with more than 20 exhibitors representing Gap Year, Travel, Study Abroad, Cultural Exchange, Language Immersion, nonprofit Service Opportunities (both local and international), and the DCIS Foundation.
PLUS delicious food for sale! Join us for dinner 4 – 7 PM.
The Denver Center for International Studies (DCIS Baker) is a DPS magnet middle- and high school in the Baker neighborhood of Denver, and we are proud of our multilingual, inter-culturally competent community.
We invite teachers, students, and parents from all other schools in Denver Public Schools, as well as our neighboring communities, to attend. The Travel Fair will be a lot of fun for everyone. Please bring your friends – and join us!

3-7 PM: Exhibitors: Gap Year, Travel, Study Abroad, Cultural Exchange, Language Immersion, etc. ***NEW: Exhibitors offering Community Service opportunities***
3:15 – 5 PM: “Moana” the movie hosted by Student Council (Auditorium).
3:45 – 4:05 PM: Teacher’s Lounge hosted by Theresa McCorquodale, DCIS Baker Principal (East Gym). Prizes, fizzy drinks, and travel advice on the Principal’s carpet! All teachers welcome, please RSVP firstname.lastname@example.org
4 – 7 PM: “Dads and their Brats” Canyonlands BBQ Fundraiser outside the East Entrance (Delaware St.).
5 – 7 PM: DCIS Foundation work-shop in the Community Room (Canyonlands families: come set up your payment schedules!)
6 – 7 PM: General PTSA Membership Meeting and “The DCIS Way” presentation by Mr. Linwood Washington, Dean of Culture (East Gym).
7 PM: Exhibitor’s prizes and Bon Voyage!
