How do we understand what might happen to the Earth in response to climate change? This course will visit cutting-edge laboratories to examine the techniques that scientists use to understand how Earth’s climate has changed in the past, and discuss how this can be applied to the future. Our visits to research labs in Boulder will help us understand changing climates of the tropical oceans all the way to arctic ice. We also hope to uncover how human activities are changing our climate, and the geochemical tracers of those processes.
