Creating air car dragsters is an exciting method by which to apply the engineering design process. We’ll design and build a prototype, produce an actual air-powered dragster and then race it! An illustrated workbook, coupled with instructor guidance will lead us through the step-by-step automotive-design processes. We’ll work out of the University’s newest engineering lab, The Idea Forge, to learn how to safely use a drill, saw, wood file, rasp, ruler and other tools. Finishing techniques will be applied before the big race day.
Please note: A materials fee of $30 is included in this course fee.
