WHAT HAPPENS IN ARTLAB?
ArtLab youth work side by side with professional artists to create 3-5 bodies of work annually, which are professionally presented to the public. With the opportunity to work with a variety of artists, students are exposed to diverse genres such as sculpture, painting, theater, filmmaking, street art, choreography, music, photography, poetry and more. Youth create and present major artistic works relating to issues in their lives and communities and participate in service-learning projects. Students are also provided personalized planning support to reach their goals after high school. ArtLab students are offered academic support and post-secondary mentorship.
WHEN DOES ARTLAB MEET AND FOR HOW LONG?
During the school year, ArtLab meets every Saturday at PlatteForum from 10–1PM. In the summer we meet Monday through Wednesday from 10-3PM. We also take time off for holidays and school breaks.
