The goal of the CSP Youth Academy is to assist in the development of future leaders for the state of Colorado.
Focusing on leadership development through team exercises and individual achievement. Youth Academy Cadets will become familiar with the basic elements of the CSP Academy through a demanding daily training schedule. The CSP Youth Academy is mentally and physically demanding, and will challenge all participants. The Academy is limited to forty five participants selected throughout the state.
How Much Does It Cost?
The Academy is provided at no cost to the participants. The Academy is made possible through partnerships with local community-minded businesses, organizations, and the Colorado State Patrol

Crime Scene Investigation
Be at Least Sixteen (16) Years of Age with a drivers license by June 17, 2019
Be a High School Junior or Senior in the Fall of 2019
Complete a 500-750 word essay
Be a Colorado Resident
Posses a Valid Colorado Driver’s License
Show Proof of Current Medical Insurance
Have Doctor Certification of Ability to Participate(Sports Physical Completed in 2019)
Agree to a Criminal and Driver History Check
Present Two (2) Letters of Recommendation
Complete an Application and Local Interview
If you meet the above requirements, please visit the link below and you will be able to access the CSP Youth Academy Application. All applications for the 2019 Youth Academy must be returned to your local troop office no later than March 7, 2019, with an essay, two letters of recommendation, a copy of most recent report card, and a copy of a valid CO driver’s license. Applications received after this date will not be considered for the 2019 Youth Academy.
*Applicants who are accepted to attend the 2019 Youth Academy will be mailed a cadet packet in April.
